My reasons have changed over the years. I'm all for people hunting for or raising their own food, but I've lost the taste for it. I think that factory farms suck - being a vegetarian is better for your health and the environment because you're not supporting those places!

That said, fake meat isn't all that good for you... They're still processed products and contain things we shouldn't eat very often. I like them now and again though. I do highly recommend Quorn. It's made from a byproduct of brewing so it's a yeast - not a mold that grows on corn. :PGrey Cat Sidhehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02774616056242936349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1142569919196917789.post-72946396407678373522009-04-26T21:43:00.000-04:002009-04-26T21:43:00.000-04:00Just dropping the fast food should make a measurab...Just dropping the fast food should make a measurable improvement to your heart and waistline. I've dropped it gradually from my diet - first it was "one burger a month", now it's more like "two a year" - but I still eat real meat two or three times a week. Now, the mere smell of cheap burgers makes me feel quite ill. I highly recommend Morningstar Farms fake chicken and sausage products and Quorn fake chicken (it's made from a mold or something that grows on corn; tasty!) The burgers are hard to do well. For some reason, pork and chicken are easier to imitate.

Pescetarian means you eat fishies, yes?Ruby Apollinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14597627449919946143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1142569919196917789.post-63694272266551467152009-04-16T16:24:00.000-04:002009-04-16T16:24:00.000-04:00So you've gone pescetarian too, eh?
